Daarna wordt gevraagd of de vakantiemodus moet worden gestart, waarbij eerst alle lampen in huis worden uitgeschakeld, de thermostaat op de vakantiemodus wordt gezet en variabelen worden ingesteld. Vervolgens, als de zon is ondergegaan en aan de voorwaarde is voldaan dat we op vakantie zijn, worden willekeurig tussen de 10 en 30 minuten delen van de verlichting in en om het huis ingeschakeld. Deze blijven tussen de 3 en 4 uur aan voordat ze weer willekeurig worden uitgeschakeld.
